I'm a painter and multimedia artist living near Philadelphia. My process of making art combines layers of planned and unplanned marks.
By allowing chance to play a role in my work, I get unexpected results and surprises. I embrace unpredictable elements like dripping paint, oddly shaped scraps of paper, and unusual color combinations. As I work, I cover the areas that distract and accentuate the strong spots.
I’m influenced by weavers and quilters who combine unrelated pieces into new compositions. Years of working with vector illustration taught me to design with shape and color.
My artwork reminds me to practice patience and optimism. I’ve learned that usually problems can be solved with a fresh perspective, and steady progress can accomplish big goals.

I live in Chester County, Pennsylvania with my husband, two daughters and two dogs. My work is inspired by all of them.
